Life Together Campaign

Be part of the story of Side by Side.

What a special night last Thursday at our Fundraiser Feast at Big Barn Brewing! Good food, good weather, good people... all brought together out of love for this community of belonging for people of all abilities.

Claire and Bill shared about their experience as volunteers and home group hosts. Asa brought the house down telling everyone about how SBS is the family of God. And Connie told us about how SBS has changed her life and the life of her son, Nick.

We're still riding high from the Feast, but now the real work begins over the next few weeks with our Life Together Campaign. It's a critical time to advance the cause of SBS over the coming years.

David and Lauren both emphasized the message of this year's Campaign: What's your next step with Side by Side? It might look different for each person, but there's a next step for everyone. Is it to give a gift for the first time? Is it to commit to monthly giving or increase your monthly gift? Is it to commit to volunteering?

Whether you were at the Feast and have yet to follow up, or you weren't able to make it, join the many who are taking their next step with SBS. At the Feast, David shared about this being a movement to rediscover what it means to be human. We want each and every one of you to be part of that movement.

What’s your next step?

Give to the Life Together Campaign

We’re not just fundraising… we’re friendraising.

This fall we are making a big push for more volunteers across SBS’s programs. Wanna make some friends?

Just look at these joyful Side-by-Siders.

Anyone can volunteer with SBS; if you’re like our many current volunteers, you’ll find that’s incredibly life-giving and meaningful to you. Here’s where we are looking for help:

  • Mondays: Music/walking groups (North Spokane, 12:00-1:30). Mondays bring together people of all abilities, and of all musical gifts, to sing/play/experience the joy of music. In the warmer months, we transition to a walking club!

  • Tuesdays: The Huddle (Central Spokane, 6:00-7:30). The Huddle brings the whole SBS community to gather together for dinner, music, Friends’ News, birthday celebrations, and more.

  • Wednesdays: Art (Central Spokane, 1:30-3:00). Art Club helps us explore different ways of being creative together through drawing, painting, watercolor and more!

  • Thursdays: Cooking (Central Spokane, 10:30-12:30). We gather together to practice our cooking skills + once a month host a luncheon where we share our favorite recipes with the people of Spokane!

  • Fridays: Soccer (Central Spokane, 3:15-4:45). We gather together to work on our soccer skills + play soccer together! We now have a skills team and a competitive team.
